77 Years of Resistance: We Fight, We Liberate, We Return

We call on the global youth for Palestine in the diaspora to answer the call from Gaza, and call for a general strike and a night of rage on May 15th, marking Nakba day and 77 years of ongoing Palestinian resistance. 

We call on students, youth and workers to participate in a global strike and take their rightful place in the international popular cradle for Palestine, and reclaim their streets and squares in a day of action through whatever means available, whether it be through direct escalation, mobilizing in the streets, holding teach-ins, and other actions. 

Seventy seven years ago, the Zionist project violently tore through our homeland. Over seven hundred thousand Palestinians were forced from their homes. Our towns were burned, our villages massacred, our women violated, our elders martyred, our families uprooted. The Nakba, the catastrophe, was not a moment in history. It is a continuing reality. It is a wound inflicted on our people every day, from the refugee camps to the besieged streets of Gaza and to every single part of our homeland.

Yet seventy seven years later, after every bullet, every bomb, every betrayal, we stand stronger than ever. We are the children of the stones. We are the generation that carries the dreams of our ancestors in our blood. We are the beating heart of a people who refused to forget, refused to surrender, refused to sell.

Today, we say with more certainty than ever: we are closer to total liberation than we have ever been. The walls are cracking. The myth of Zionist invincibility has been shattered. History has now turned in our favour because resistance lives in our veins and freedom is our right.

Our cause is not a slogan. Our cause is not up for negotiation. Our cause is not a bargaining chip for politicians or a talking point for opportunists. Our cause is rooted in our thawabet, our sacred non-negotiable principles:

    •    Palestine belongs to the Palestinian people, from the river to the sea.

    •    The right of return for every Palestinian refugee is absolute and non-negotiable.

    •    Jerusalem is our capital, eternal and indivisible.

    •    Armed resistance, in all its forms, is the legitimate right of a colonized people against their oppressors.

    •    Normalization with the occupier is treason against the blood of our martyrs and the hopes of our prisoners.

We will not compromise. We will not forget. We will not forgive the ongoing Nakba unfolding in Gaza, the West Bank, Jerusalem, in every refugee camp, in every exile. We are part of an unbreakable chain that stretches across generations. From the feda’i fighter in 1948 to the youth resisting in Jenin today, we are one people, one struggle, one destiny.

Across North America and Europe, across refugee camps and liberated lands, across every street that carries the sound of our marching feet, we declare: the Nakba ends when Palestine is free.

We are the generation that will not just remember the Nakba. We are the generation that will end it. 

We fight. We liberate. We return.

٧٧عامًا من المقاومة: نحن نناضل، نحرر، نعود

نناشد شباب العالم من أجل فلسطين في الشتات أن يلبوا نداء غزة، وندعو إلى إضراب عام وليلة غضب في 15 مايو/أيار، إحياءً لذكرى النكبة و77 عامًا من المقاومة الفلسطينية المستمرة.

نناشد الطلاب والشباب والعمال المشاركة في إضراب عالمي واتخاذ مكانهم الصحيح في الحاضنة الشعبية الاممية من اجل فلسطين، واستعادة شوارعهم وساحاتهم في يوم من الحراك بكل الوسائل المتاحة، سواء من خلال التصعيد المباشر أو الحشد في الشوارع أو عقد جلسات توعوية وغيرها من الإجراءات.

قبل سبعة وسبعين عامًا، مزق المشروع الصهيوني وطننا بعنف. أُجبر أكثر من سبعمائة ألف فلسطيني على مغادرة ديارهم. أُحرقت بلداتنا، ذُبحت قرانا، انتهكت نساؤنا، استشهد شيوخنا، اقتلعت عائلاتنا من جذورها. النكبة، لم تكن لحظة في التاريخ. إنها واقع مستمر. إنها جرح يُلحق بشعبنا كل يوم، من مخيمات اللاجئين إلى شوارع غزة المحاصرة وصولًا إلى كل بقعة من وطننا.

ومع ذلك، بعد سبعة وسبعين عامًا، بعد كل رصاصة وقنبلة وخيانة، ما زلنا نقف أقوى من أي وقت مضى. نحن أطفال الحجارة. نحن الجيل الذي يحمل أحلام أجدادنا في دمائنا. نحن القلب النابض لشعب رفض النسيان، يرفض الاستسلام، يرفض البيع.

اليوم نقول بثقة أكبر من أي وقت مضى: نحن أقرب إلى التحرر الكامل من أي وقت مضى. فالجدران تتصدع. لقد تحطمت أسطورة الصهيونية التي لا تقهر. لقد انحاز التاريخ لنا لأن المقاومة تسري في عروقنا والحرية حق لنا.

ققضيتنا ليست شعاراً. قضيتنا ليست مطروحة للتفاوض. قضيتنا ليست ورقة مساومة للسياسيين أو نقطة نقاش للمتسلقين. ان قضيتنا متجذرة في ثوابتنا، في مبادئنا المقدسة غير القابلة للتفاوض:

• فلسطين ملك للشعب الفلسطيني، من النهر إلى البحر
• حق العودة لكل لاجئ فلسطيني مطلق ولا يقبل التفاوض
• القدس عاصمتنا الأبديّة غير قابلة للتقسيم
• المقاومة المسلحة، بكل أشكالها، حق مشروع لشعب مستعمر ضد محتليه
• التطبيع مع المحتل خيانة لدم شهدائنا وآمال أسرانا

لن نتنازل. لن ننسى. لن نسامح على النكبة المستمرة التي تتكشف في غزة والضفة الغربية والقدس، في كل مخيم لاجئين، في كل منفى. نحن جزء من سلسلة غير قابلة للكسر تمتد عبر الأجيال. من المناضل الفدائي في عام 1948 إلى الشاب المقاوم في جنين اليوم، نحن شعب واحد، نضالنا واحد، مصيرنا واحد.

عبر أمريكا الشمالية وأوروبا، عبر مخيمات اللاجئين والأراضي المحررة، عبر كل شارع يحمل صوت أقدامنا السائرة، نعلن: النكبة تنتهي عندما تتحرر فلسطين.

نحن لسنا الجيل الذي يتذكر النكبة فقط بل الذي سينهيها.

نكافح. نحرر. نعود.

المجد لشهدائنا. النصر لشعبنا. الحرية لفلسطين.
